Microsoft 365
Microsoft runs a shared-responsibility model: they keep the platform running, but your data is your responsibility. Native retention is not a backup and won't reliably recover you from ransomware or malicious deletion.

A backup an attacker can't destroy.
Modern ransomware hunts for and deletes backups before it encrypts anything. A backup reachable with the same credentials that let the attacker in is not a backup. Design matters as much as coverage.
Immutable & retention-locked copies
Where the platform supports it, recovery points can't be altered or deleted — so an attacker with domain-admin rights still can't destroy your ability to recover.
Separated credentials
Backup infrastructure doesn't authenticate with the same admin accounts as production, so one compromised account can't take down both your systems and your recovery.
Monitored every day
Backup success and failure is an alert worked by our team — not something checked only when someone happens to remember. A silently failing backup is caught fast.
Verified with test restores
We perform periodic test restores and report the results. An untested backup is an assumption, not a recovery plan.
RPO and RTO, defined before you need them.
Two numbers determine what a real outage costs you. We set them per system, in writing, before an incident — so expectations are agreed in advance rather than argued during a crisis.
RPO — Recovery Point Objective
How much data you can afford to lose, measured in time. An RPO of one hour means backups run often enough that you'd lose at most an hour of work. We set the backup frequency to match the RPO each system actually needs.
RTO — Recovery Time Objective
How quickly a system must be back online. A critical server might have an RTO of a few hours; a secondary system might tolerate a day. We design the recovery approach — local, cloud, or failover — to meet the RTO each system requires.
